I'd like to see ALF come back! Of course, he would need a new family to live with, but writers could work that out somehow.

It would be awesome to seel ALF return but I don't see that happening. At best we can hope for a hollywood remake but the question is, do we really want one of those?

As much as I'd love to see ALF come back, I think America's sense of humor and expectations in sitcoms has changed (or should I say "decayed") too much since the 1980's, even the early '90s for a new version of ALF to be successful...ALF would probably use profanity and the family situations would revolve around the "new Kate" cheating on the "new Willie" and the "new Lynn" would probably require counseling from ALF on an unwanted pregnancy, etc. etc.

I'm thinking that by now Lynn would be married with her own family, and Willie and Kate would be grandparents. ALF, however, would not have aged a bit.

As much as it would be cool to see ALF back on TV, I think it's better to leave a great show where it is, and not taint it with new blood. Because I can just see this show being absolutely ruined if they brought it back, due to things like new voice actors (more specifically, a new voice actor for ALF), and just a different vibe for the show. It's like a cover version of a song to me in a way - in that the first one you see or hear is great, and all other attemps at it just seem to mark on the original.

They sort of did, Project: ALF, and it sucked. Sorry, but that basically put in the final nail in that one, and may it rest in peace.

    "Bring it Back!"

No, that's okay. ALF may had been good for the cheesy 1980s, but it would never hold up today. As I mentioned in another thread, "American Dad" has basically the same exact premise, which I'm sure Seth MacFarlane totally had "ALF" in his mind.
