Was...different. A talking alien from the planet Melmac comes to a suburban house and they try keeping it a secret? Now that's a good idea! Agreed?

I agree too bad you don't see good ideas like that anymore.

It was an amazing show -- it should have lasted longer.

Yeah, it was pretty cool. It started off slow, but after a few episodes it was great.

It's so true. It was just such a great show. I used to watch it as a kid, but now even as an adult, I still think it's great! It was one of those rare shows that kids and adults could watch together and both could enjoy...unfortunately there are not too many of those out there anymore.

This is my favorite show. I was born in 1989, a year before it was cancelled, and I caught this show on the Odyssey channel (which then became the Hallmark channel) and I couldn't stop watching and laughing. I own all 4 seasons on DVD.

I like ALF because of its simple plotlines. Almost everything else on TV these days sit-com-wise pretty much is total crap. I like how ALF is always getting into trouble and the Tanners always bail him out. It's funny.

For some reason, I cant start a new topic, but

does any one remember (only saw the teaser/promo)

for the cross over w/ the 8:30 show ( the hogan family)

and I believe the title was (some thing like)

"the ALF-hogan halloween horror" (it was 'weird') and

the monday (as it was on mondays, NBC) it was supposed to aire,

it was just regular 2 episodes....hmmm any thing ?

Wow, that show was really amazing. The good old times. Does anybody have any idea if there is going to be a remake or something?

"American Dad" is a pretty damn close to the same exact premise.
