    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      ADD TRIVIA
      • ALF spends this entire episode trying to educate himself on the birth of babies by watching clips of The Dick Van Dyke Show. Both he and the Tanners seem to forget that he actually delivered a baby all by himself in Season Two's ALF's Special Christmas.

    • QUOTES (6)

      ADD QUOTES
      • ALF: (singing as he attempts to put a diaper on a baby doll) This is the way we diaper our kid, diaper our kid, diaper our kid. This is the way we diaper our kid…(the doll falls on the floor) and drop it.

      • Lynn: What are you doing? ALF: Practicing for when the baby comes. How well do earth children bounce? Lynn: Not very.

      • ALF: (to Brian) Your father's a good man. But sometimes I think his Hefty bag isn't twisty-tied.

      • Willie : Laura Petrie was a character. The actress who played her wasn't even pregnant when she did the show. ALF: I suspected that. She never did get as big as Mount St. Katherine here (referring to Kate).

      • Lynn: ALF, having a baby is a perfectly natural thing. Mom's gonna get through it just fine. ALF: That's what they said about the Hindenburg. You know, that other blimp!

      • Kate: I am a tired, pregnant woman, Willie! Willie : I know, I know. ALF: You left out fat and cranky.

    • NOTES (1)

      ADD NOTES
      • ALF is re-enacting scenes from The Dick Van Dyke Show. The Dick Van Dyke Show is about when Rob Petrie has a job as head writer on the mythical TV show called "The Alan Brady Show" and a husband and father. The series ran from 1961-1966.

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • ALF: I'll make like Imelda Marcos and shoe. ALF is making a play on words, alluding to the wife of the former prime minister of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos, who had over two thousand pairs of shoes in her wardrobe at the time her husband was ousted from office.

      • When ALF was excited about the baby. He says "Holy Stork invasion Batman. How that get in here?" ALF was talking about the many expressions that Robin usually said to Batman when he always knew the answers.

      • The title is derived from a Paul Anka song with the same name.
