Lynn refers to Neal as "Uncle Neal" throughout the episode, except for the first time she sees him when she greets her uncle as simply "Neal."

ALF: Didn't I see this on The Wonder Years? ALF is alluding to a television series that ran from 1988 to 1993 starring Fred Savage.
ALF: You know, this sort of thing wouldn't happen if we didn't live in what Geraldo termed "a marginal neighborhood." ALF is alluding to the television talk show host, Geraldo Rivera.
The title is a parody of the Hollies song with a similar name.
