In syndication airings, when Brian is in the garage confiding in ALF, he is holding what appears to be a chocolate bar in both hands. The camera cuts to ALF for a moment, and when it cuts back to Brian, the chocolate bar has disappeared. The full unedited version includes a scene where ALF takes the candy bar from Brian and eats it.
Goof: When Brian is in the garage confiding in ALF, he is holding what appears to be a chocolate bar in both hands. The camera cuts to ALF for a moment, and when it cuts back to Brian, the chocolate bar has disappeared.
Goof: Lynn and Brian are watching Mr. Duncan and Willie in the living room from the kitchen, through the slightly open shutters. However, as soon as the camera cuts to Kate walking out to the living room, behind her you can see that the shutters are shut tightly.
ALF: (after watching Kate throw Mr. Duncan out of the house) Kate, when are you free to mud wrestle Raquel?
Trevor: There are three ways news can travel: telephone, telegram, and tell-Raquel.
ALF: (to Willie, after Willie bodily throws Mr. Duncan through the doorway and out of the house) Way to go, Four Eyes!
ALF: Oh, by the way, [Bobby's father] is coming over to beat the stuffing out of you, Willie. Willie: What?! Why?! ALF: He didn't like the way "you" talked to him on the phone.
Willie: (talking to Brian) When I was a kid, there was a bully in my neighborhood, too. His name was Clarence. ALF: Clarence? Clarence! (thumps hand) Ha! Hahahahaha! Tough neighborhood!
When ALF tells Willie, "We agreed that I stop impersonating the cast of Green Acres," he alludes to the TV show Green Acres set in Hooterville where speaking gibberish is common.
The title is derived from a Pat Benetar song with the same name.
