Paul: Pay no attention to the man with his hand up my back.
ALF: I don't care what Paul says, I like it here.
Paul: Speak for yourself.
Larry: What's wrong with the Tanners?
Paul: Too many stupid rules. Don't eat the cat, Don't break the dishes, Don't eat the cat.
Larry: ALF. Do you object to these rules?
ALF: Yes. Especially numbers 1 and 3.
Kate asks where Gepeto is, referirng to ALF.
Gepeto was the creater of a wooden boy who wished to be real in the Disney 1940 movie Pinocchio.
Paul suggests they trade Willie and Kate for Ozzie and Harriet because at least Harriet can cook.
This is a reference to the characters from The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet, which started on radio, then went to tevelevision (1952-1966).
Paul: Pay no attention to the man with his hand up my back.
This line alludes to the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz, where 'Oz' shouts: "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."
Paul refers to Larry, Kate and Willie as the Three Stooges.
This is a reference to the American comedy act called the Three Stooges.
The title is derived from an Elton John song with the same name.
ALF: I think I'll call him Paul.
Paul is the name of the producer and the voice of ALF.
