Paul suggests they trade Willie and Kate for Ozzie and Harriet because at least Harriet can cook. This is a reference to the characters from The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet, which started on radio, then went to tevelevision (1952-1966).

Paul: Pay no attention to the man with his hand up my back. This line alludes to the 1939 movie The Wizard of Oz, where 'Oz' shouts: "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."

Paul refers to Larry, Kate and Willie as the Three Stooges. This is a reference to the American comedy act called the Three Stooges.

The title is derived from an Elton John song with the same name.
