The bottle of champagne ALF brings Kate and Willie is clearly completely empty. You can see straight through the bottle to the other side and there isn't any liquid in it whatsoever.
Willie and Kate were married in July, 1967. They honeymooned in Niagara Falls.
ALF: (after Willie gives him a tip for room service) A nickel? Don't expect clean sheets!
Willie: He [ALF] is odd, even for an alien.
ALF is terrified of becoming an orphan if Kate and Willie get divorced. He mentions having seen Annie and that he doesn't want to tap dance with mops. This alludes to the musical Little Orphan Annie, where Annie tap-danced while mopping.
The title is derived from a Johnny Mathis song with the same name.
