Kate states in this episode that she dated Joe Namath.
ALF: Now that you brought it up, I think Kate's been coming on to me lately.
Dean Houseman: This is a dream, Tanner. Its purpose is to point out how inadequate you are compared to everyone else.
Willie: I´d never complete the skydiving. ALF: What do you mean you never complete it? How can you just jump to the middle and then return back?
Willie: To a super dad, husband, and earthling. ALF: That one was mine.
Joe Namath: That's okay, I'm doing a lot of dreams lately. Next week, I'm doing a Howard Cosell nightmare. Allusion: Howard Cosell was a sportscaster, considered one of the most colorful and yet controversial commentators in the industry, and known for his sarcastic remarks and forceful opinions.
The episode title could allude either to the song "Jump" by the Pointer Sisters or the song "Jump" by Van Halen, two entirely different songs, both released in 1984.
