Goof: When Willie enters the kitchen and finds ALF making a huge, messy snack, Willie is holding a completely empty glass of milk which he sets down on the table. In the next shot, he picks up the same glass, which is now full, and takes a drink from it.
ALF: (to Willie) Where did you get that shirt…Fredericks of Sri Lanka? Willie: It was the Sixties, ALF. Those clothes made a statement! ALF: Yeah. "I dressed in the dark."
Willie: Forget the attic! The attic is out! ALF: Why? Do you need the storage space for your abandoned idealism? Willie: (angrily) Good night, ALF. ALF: Boy! Point out one major flaw in someone's belief system and they take it personally!
ALF: (to Willie) See you later, Agitator!
Willie: Where's ALF? It's not like him to miss a meal. Lynn: He's up in his new room, listening to an album. I think it's "The Doors" again. The Doors were an influential rock band formed in the 1960's, with Jim Morrison as their lead singer.
Willie: Look! That's Mama Cass! ALF: Short for "Casserole," I wager. Mama Cass was a member of the superstar group "The Mamas and the Papas" during the 1960's. She was known for her ample figure.
During Willie's dream sequence, ALF asks him if has an "Up With People" rehearsal to go to. "Up With People" was a musical in the 60's to help gather interest for an educational movement of the same name which was a volunteer awarness program for global, cultural, and social issues.
While ALF and everyone are watching Willie and Kate's woodstock footage, ALF yells, "Yikes! It's that girl!" when he sees Willie's long hair. That Girl was a show during the late 60's in which Ann Marie, played by Marlo Thomas, had a similar overall appearance of hair.
The title is derived from a Bob Dylan song with the same name.
