In one of the eariler episodes of ALF, Kate said she was an only child but in this episode, she mentions she has a sister.
ALF: Kate, I'm sorry I broke your wedding present. I was going to tell you. Kate: Really? When? ALF: I was waiting to see if the marriage would last.
ALF: (reading Lynn his poem) It's not what you think; I'm really not a fink. You're the last person I'd hurt; I didn't mean to blurt...(quietly)it out.
Lynn: I need to wait for the right time...like when they're in a really, really good mood. ALF: Yeah? Well let me know when that happens, and I'll tell them about the untimely demise of Kate's porcelain ballerina. Lynn: You broke mom's porcelain ballerina? ALF: Yeah. We were dancing the pas de deux from "Swan Lake" and I dropped her in the toilet.
ALF: Don't tell them? You want me to lie? Lynn: No! No, you don't have to lie! Just...don't bring it up. That's not lying. ALF: Egad! What a loophole!
Kate: Let me get right to the point. He's too old for you. Lynn: I knew you'd overreact! Kate: I am not...(calms down a bit) I am not overreacting. ALF: Let me get a look at this dude. (peers through kitchen window) Yikes! He's almost as old as Kate!
Lynn: (talking about her much older date) Eddie taught history for a while! Willie: And lived a good deal of it, I believe!
The title is derived from the title song of the Broadway musical with the same name.
