  • Alf and Lynn

    Alf and Lyn fights after he gets her in trouble and she gets her in trouble and she dates a 40 year old fakw writer, Great humor.
  • Lynn deserved to be grounded

    Lynn is 18 and Eddie is a guy somewhere between late 30's and early 40's, that is clearly too old for her. Alf says that Eddie is almost as old as Kate. A little harsh thing for Kate to hear but at least Alf shares Willy and Kate's opinion about Eddie.

    I bet Willy and Kate were not only mad at Lynn for deliberately disobeying them, seeing Eddie after they told her not to anymore, BUT also because she was USING Randy to do so. Randy may not be intelligent enough to realize it but it's still wrong.moreless
  • Another solid installment of ALF.

    This is a really good episode of ALF. It, like most ALF episodes has a great timeless quality. Even though the episode aired many years ago, you can still relate to it and the humor manages to remain fresh. Lynn dating the older man is something a lot of people can relate too wether having been in that situation or possibly their kids have been in that situation. The guy Lynn pretends to date is one of the funniest parts of the episodes. ALF describes him as a “no-necked moron” and his only response to many questions is “kay”. Though this is a bit exaggerated, I think we all know someone who is like this. Overall, this is a funny episode that I recommend.moreless
  • Lynn starts dating an older guy, who her parents tell her she can't see again. She decides to date him without telling anyone... and gets caught.

    Not that crazy about the entire "Lynn dating behind their backs" theme of the episode, but it worked out to provide an amusing scenario just the same. The football player she uses as a decoy was great, hehe. But the main thing is that after having promised her that he wouldn't tell her parents what he inadvertently discovered, ALF accidently blurts out the truth, which gets Lynn grounded and mad at him. In the end everything gets setled when ALF begins trying to repair his spaceship to leave. Finally, Lynn appologizes for having been angry at him, and recognizes that she was the one in error all along. The best part, though: ALF learning that there's a loop hole where not telling is not the same as lying, hahah.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (6)

    • ALF: Kate, I'm sorry I broke your wedding present. I was going to tell you.
      Kate: Really? When?
      ALF: I was waiting to see if the marriage would last.

    • ALF: (reading Lynn his poem)
      It's not what you think;
      I'm really not a fink.
      You're the last person I'd hurt;
      I didn't mean to blurt...(quietly)it out.

    • Lynn: I need to wait for the right when they're in a really, really good mood.
      ALF: Yeah? Well let me know when that happens, and I'll tell them about the untimely demise of Kate's porcelain ballerina.
      Lynn: You broke mom's porcelain ballerina?
      ALF: Yeah. We were dancing the pas de deux from "Swan Lake" and I dropped her in the toilet.

    • ALF: Don't tell them? You want me to lie?
      Lynn: No! No, you don't have to lie! Just...don't bring it up. That's not lying.
      ALF: Egad! What a loophole!

    • Kate: Let me get right to the point. He's too old for you.
      Lynn: I knew you'd overreact!
      Kate: I am not...(calms down a bit) I am not overreacting.
      ALF: Let me get a look at this dude. (peers through kitchen window) Yikes! He's almost as old as Kate!

    • Lynn: (talking about her much older date) Eddie taught history for a while!
      Willie: And lived a good deal of it, I believe!
