      • The Ochmoneks (Trevor, Raquel, and Jake) come over to the Tanner's house to tell them that there was a robber at their house that stole their furniture. Raquel and Trevor tell Jake that if he had anything to do with it, they wouldn't let him watch TV for a month. He tells them that even if he did have anything to do with it, it wouldn't matter because they stole the TV too. Later when Alf gets trapped in the Ochmoneks house, you could see the TV right there in the living room!

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • ALF says over the walkie-talkie that he wants to see some teamwork out there, like "Bartles and Jaymes." ALF is alluding to the folksy commercials for Bartles and Jaymes wine coolers. The ads ran in the 1980s and featured two elderly gentleman, Frank Bartles and Ed Jaymes, who sat on a porch together and discussed their projects or experiments.

      • When ALF announces scenes from the next episode, black and white old videos appear with cars crashing. ALF says it was a reel from MacGyver by mistake. MacGyver was an 80's series about a secret agent who solved most of his problems with random gadgets out of everyday appliances and his pocketknife.

      • When someone's at the door yet again, ALF says they might as well consider him Pavlov's alien because he's already going to the kitchen. Ivan Pavlov studied the conditioning of behavior, by utilizing certain stimuli to obtain established responses. In this case, like Pavlov's dog reacted to the bell that announced a meal and salivated.

      • To settle an argument between Trevor and Mrs. Byrd, ALF tells Willie to act like Captain Kirk. James T. Kirk was the captain of the Starship Enterprise on the original Star Trek.

      • The title is derived from the George and Ira Gershwin song with the same name.
