Willie and Kate were married at Dorothy's house.
At the end of the closing credits, instead of ALF's usual laugh, there is a hiccough.
Melmackians have only 10 major organs, 8 of which are stomachs.
In "Mother and Child Reunion" Kate said that she was an only child but in this episode she says "We are using the blender my sister gave me."
Dorothy: Thanks a lot, you hiccoughing hairball from Hell!
ALF: (thinking his cup contains cat juice) Alas, poor Lucky. I liked him as a cat. I love him as a cocktail.
(ALF is told he has to take rice out of the box before throwing it at the bride) ALF: Next thing you're gonna tell me you're not supposed to tie a cat to the back of the car. Kate: Lynn, go cut Lucky loose.
Willie: Say what's this? ALF: Oh. That's just Nuclear Waste for my spaceship. Hey don't worry. Life on this planet will exist as long as that little lid doesn't pop off. [The lid is off. ALF looks inside] ALF: Oh wait a minute. These are my crayons.
ALF: Traditions are like plates. They're made to be broken.
(Alf's talking about the cures for the hiccups.) Willie: What is Cat-Juice? ALF: Well it's kind of like orange juice, but instead of juicing an orange you juice a.. Willie: I don't want to hear it. ALF: Then cover your ears - CAT! Willie: I heard it.
Alf makes a joke about being Ella Fitzgerald when he can break a glass with his hiccough. Ella Fitzgerald (1917-1996) was an American singer known for her wide vocal range.
ALF mentions Popeye is considered a geek on Melmac for eating spinach. Popeye The Sailor was a comic strip character and cartoon that got his strength from eating spinach.
ALF says that if it weren't for him, Dorothy would be home watching Bonanza, trying to get a glimpse of Michael Landon's chest hair. Michael Landon played one of the main characters on that show.
When asked to say something for the camera, Brian does a quick impression of Ted Koppel, who took on the role of anchor on Nightline in 1980.
The title is derived from an Austin Roberts song with the same name.
