This episode is not very well written and the story doesn't have much of a payoff. My guess is that Jones turns himself in for killing the gangsters because he thinks he would be safer in jail than out on the streets. I just don't understand the logic at all. He just killed the men who wanted him dead, so why is he still afraid. Perhaps the gangsters' associates would still want to knock him off, but this isn't really explained. And what is the point of Jones refusing to name the killers to the police? They already wanted him dead anyway, so it's not like ratting them out would put him in any further danger.moreless
