Syd:"Yesterday was the day, wasn't it?The anniversary of your father's death."

    Vaughn:"How could you remember that?"

Syd:"I remember what missing him does to you."

Although the episode feels and is repetetive(I think it's laziness on the part of the writers and the directors the fact that we watch whole conversations and scenes twice),it's really entertaining and fun to watch. It has a lot of hillarious moments, which is unusual for Alias, and watching Sark and Lauren together in action for one more time was really nice and fun.

As I said, the episode contained many funny moments which made me laugh my ass out:1)The funniest of all was Syd's performance as an alien researcher("Don't worry. The alien invasion is still few months away").2)Equally funny was Jack's reaction when he saw Marshall's newborn baby.3)The photo showing Marshall feeding his baby.4)Syd switching the electronic sniffer with that paper in Marshall's hand.5)All scenes with Lauren and Sark.

Syd's line to Barnett in the previous episode that Vaughn belongs to her felt so right here. She,in contrast to Lauren, remembered the death anniversary of Vaughn's father, despite all of her problems this year. The thing that stroke me ass odd was why Lauren punched Vaughn in his face when he revealed his feelings for Syd.Does she also have any feelings for him or is it just so painful losing to Syd?The latter,I guess. After all,she belongs to Sark and his sadomasochistic tastes.

Sloane's secret revelation to Barnett was a real shock, despite the fact that that's what he's been hinting at for almost 3 years now.Sloane and Irina?Syd possibly their daughter? If this is true, then the storylines that could come out of it are inummerable. But,I hope Sloane's wrong cause that would be so unfair for Jack.Taking into consideration that Irina's lies devastated his life, one could only imagine what impact this secret would have on him.

    Notable Quotes:

Vault manager:"So you're looking for alien life?"

Syd:"In a matter of speaking. Our radio telescopes inspect the cosmos looking to detect artificially generated signals.Basically, anything below 300Hz.But don't worry. The alien invasion is still few months away."(loved this one.)

Lauren(taking a call from Sark):"This better be good."

    Sark:"And a good morning to you,too."

    Lauren:"The CIA are sending agents."

    Sark:"Who?"

    Lauren:"One guess.."

    Sark:"Oh,sweetheart.This should be fun."

Lauren:"I'll see you in Vancouver.Don't be late.Or call me "sweetheart".

    Sark:"Ambitious and domineering.Fantastic."

    Miscellaneous:

--Jennifer's performance as an alien researcher was remarkable.I love this woman. She can do anything!

--It seems Lauren's the first woman Sark really cares about.Speaking of them, she told him Vaughn's not the first man whose life has ruined.Does this mean he's not her first husband?

--There's no way Sloane was telling the truth to Barnett about the scroll.Come on,the blank page thing is so Rambaldi(see "The Circumference" and "Page 47").

    --This episode's locations:Zurich,Switzerland;Vancouver,Canada;Lisbon,Portugal

--This episode's aliases:Syd was dressed up as a nerd researching extraterrestrial life(by the way,why wasn't Vaughn equally dressed?) and of course,we have Lauren's red wig.She looked quite hot in that.

--This episode's gadgets:Marshall's electronic sniffer which, among other things, can detect plasma bombs.

Major props to the writer for giving us a little something new this time around. Granted the directing could have been better as there was some small goof in all of the "Different Perspective" scenes, I still liked the originality of the episode and shows the writers really do try and make everything a little more entertaining and they aren't out of ideas just yet.

As far as the main plot of Sark / Lauren / Vaughn / Sydney go I think there is a very interesting plotline there. I like how Lauren seems to be upset when she doesnt get something that she wants. Vaughn loves Sydney, but when she is undercover with the CIA she wants her to have nothing to do with him. However, when she is on a mission she finds it perfectly okay to sleep with Sark and then call her husband in the same ocnversation. I thought all of the different perspective scenes among them were all very well done.

Arvins big secret was indeed one that would make us all scratch our heads. What is Sydney really is Arvins daughter. All those times he said he has always thought of Sydney as a daughter make so much more sense now then they did before. Overall, loved the episode and I think its one of the finer episodes of season 3. Have no idea why tv.com viewers have rated this one so low.
