Episode Recap

Dixon feels guilty about killing Emily and tells Syd that he's putting in for reassignment. Irina tells Neil Caplan that she wants him to locate a certain person's DNA in a database. Syd goes to Elsa Caplan and tries to convince her to undergo regression therapy in order to remember her kidnapping. Elsa is uncomfortable with the idea of reliving the experience, and gets upset and claims Syd thinks Elsa is a bad person if she doesn't do more to help her husband.

Sloane has Freplica tamper with Will's cell phone. She calls Will at the CIA office and has him look up something for her on his computer. This allows her to hack into the satellite feed from Tuscany. Sloane looks at the satellite video and realizes it was Dixon who killed Emily. Sloane tells Freplica he has another job for her.

Syd discovers that a Russian SVR agent had been calling Caplan in the past, and Syd goes to Elsa to ask if she knows anything about this. Elsa reveals that the phone calls were for her, and that she's really a Russian agent who'd been sent to the U.S. to monitor Caplan's work. Elsa says she was ordered to implant a device in Caplan that, since it's been triggered, will kill him in 42 hours.

Elsa turns herself into the CIA, and Syd wants to help her, but Jack is against it, claiming that Elsa is just as deceitful as Irina. Jack had Syd followed, and so she has to sneak off to Russia in order to get a device that'll enable her to locate Caplan.

Jack has a confrontation with Vaughn, where Jack claims that he'll take extreme measures if Vaughn tries to help Syd again behind Jack's back. Jack confronts Elsa in her jail cell and tells her that he'll do everything he can to take her son away from her. Elsa is distraught, telling Jack that she does love her husband and son, and that she's not like Irina.

Syd tracks Caplan down to Spain, and Vaughn joins her. They take out Sloane's guards and free Caplan. Syd tells Caplan that they only have moments before cyanide will be released into his bloodstream. Syd reveals that Elsa is a Russian agent, and Caplan says that he already knows! The NSA recruited Caplan six years ago because it felt an enemy agent would approach him. Syd removes the cyanide device, and they return to Los Angeles.

Caplan and Elsa have a happy reunion, and Jack says he helped Elsa get defector status. Elsa, Caplan, and their son will relocate to Bambridge Island. Jack tells Syd that if she goes against his wishes again, he'll have her transferred.

Marshall tells Jack that he discovered an "information hemorrhage" in the CIA's database. Marshall reveals that the leak is coming from somewhere within the CIA's office.

Syd, Vaughn, Dixon, and his wife Diane go out to dinner. Dixon tells Syd and Vaughn that Diane convinced him not to transfer to another office. They finish dinner and go outside to get their cars. Diane kisses Dixon goodbye and drives off to pick up their kids. Suddenly, Diane's van explodes in a burst of flames! Across the parking lot, Francie's Double sits in her car ... holding a detonator device.
