hi. i feel your pain, and on the channel 7 site, it says the plans of shows to air this year, including alias. however, the plan was from january, and with december approaching, i dont see how they will be able to show it.

i couldn't wait, so i downloaded the episodes!

Perhaps they'll show it in their summer programming?

You're still ahead of New Zealand. Season Three is still going through it's original run here.

really? well, i suppose i cant complain then.

I think channel 10 australia is starting to smarten up, airing new series as they do in america; theyve done it with jericho and the OC so perhaps this will start a trend.

Tv in australia is ridiculous. Some shows that are to air in Australia are already out on dvd in US...eg Alias Season 5. I say just buy the dvd off amazon or ebay. Australia needs to clean up it's act

I'm really looking forward to seeing the fifth season of Alias as well!  It doesn't seem like it's going to be aired this summer but if it is, it will be in a really really late timeslot which is quite dissapointing   Fingers crossed it gets aired quicksmart and at a decent time

I gave up on seven's mistreatment of alias and brought season five off amazon the day it was released. I am now almost finished - yeah!

Yeah I've heard that Channel 7 is supposed to bring it back in January/February shortly before the ratings season begins. But I guess Channel 7 have too much on their plate now with Prison Break, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy plus the new U.S shows they'll be getting this year, Heroes, Brothers & Sisters and Ugly Betty - all which may generate higher ratings for the network than Alias, since I'm sure plenty of fed-up Australians have probably resorted to downloading it (like me) and buying it from Amazon (also me).

Channel 7's line up for the next while is shaping up to be awesome. My guess is that once the 4th season is finshed airing at it's late, late timeslot, it will get a 10:30 time slot - like Boston Legal - and perhaps be on twice a week. I've found nothing on the 7 website, but on www.ezydvd.com.au it is reported that season 5 DVD will be released soon. No date, but it was thought to be around April 07.

the last few years, 7 have picked some great imports from the US and it looks set to continue "on 7 in '07". And considering all the new shows Nine is promoting have been cancelled, 7 could overtake them this year to take the No. 1 spot. I hate Nine anyway.

Me too. Nine shouldn't try and show entertaining shows and just stick to being the News central.

Channel 7 is shaping into the most powerful network in Australia. The only complaint I have with them is that Alias is on too late and that they need a more decent Aussie drama than 'Home and Away.'

Oh, and also, they showed Buffy too late as well... Grr... Arggg...
