In the episode titled "I see dead people" from season 5, where Vaughn is reunited with Sydney, he has doubts about whether or not he is with the real Sydney and in fact is with Anna, posing as Sydney. While he and the fake Syd are sitting outside the jewelry store, he tells the fake Syd that they should go in and do things "like we did in Cartegena" And then while inside the bunker, in the middle of Vaughn's fight with the fake Syd, he reveals that he and Sydney never went to Cartegena, which is how he knew he was with the fake Syd. Anyway, in Season 2's episode "Countdown", Dixon's wife had been killed and Dixon is obviouisly distraught. During a mission, he appears unstable and pretends like he is going to blow himself up in a train yard, when in fact he is just pretending in order to coerce a suspect into confessing. The NSC orders Vaughn to take Dixon out and Sydney is begging Dixon to put down the explosives. This all took place in Cartegena.

I did mess up one thing. It wasn't a train yard. It was a shipping yard.

Vaughn: We were never in Cartega
Fake Syd: Sure we were! When Dixon went nuts!
Vaughn: Good, so you are the real Syd. Let's go kill the fake 1 behind you.
