I'm a number one fan of Alias and I want to see this show come back. And I protest the series finale..

Season 4 and 5 didn't feel like the show it was in the first 3 seasons.

I know shows have to move on, different formats, new characters, etc. but I just didn't like the direction the show went to in the 2 final seasons.

I still enjoyed them, but not as much...

Season 4 wasn't great... 'cept the last few episodes. But I liked the direction season 5 took. New characters, new enemies... Alias should have returned for a sixth season.

I'm a hardcore ALIAs fan, yet on the poll above I was forced to vote "I do" only, I couldn't have in good conciousnes voted 200% or 300% since the last two season weren't that good at all, so if someone asked I'dve wanted to see more seasons of ALIAs like the last two, I would've just said NO THANKS, I'll keep in my memory the first 3 seasons. HOWEVER if the crew (wrtiters, producers, etc. nothing to do with the cast) of the first three seasons got back together just say the place and time, and I'll be in front of the Tv ready to watch....

I think it was a good time to end the show. Five seasons is a lot in the grand scheme of things; some series only get a season, so we can hardly grumble.

Even if it needs a another season or more episodes I doubt we'll be getting any. It's too late imho.

Alias isn't cancelled. It's just completed.

People will get tired of the same type of stories again and again. Just like directors and story-makers run out of ideas for subsequent series.

I would think Alias should have ended two seasons ago. Because at that time, Alias would have a grand finale at its prime.

They would simply need to think about something not involving Rambaldi.

they would of course NEED to think of something not involving Rambaldi. Naturally. Maybe JJ just couldn't cook up more creative stories after his sister series became popular.

I found the last 2 seasons to be the best. I thought the show got better and better with each season.

Seasons 1 and 2 were amazing. Season 3 was great. Season 4 was a huge letdown, but Season 5 was returning the show to its previous greatness. I think the show could have continued after Season 5. I wasn't sure what to expect after the less-than-stellar fourth season, but the show suprised me.

Ratings for season 4 were the highest so I guess you guys must be in the minority.

Because there were many stand alone episodes... that always help ratings...

I think Alias should've gotten one final season. They should've ended it at season 6. Season 5 kind of cheated us with Sydney being pregnant for most of it. I would've liked a whole season of 100% Sydney, and Vaughn too! And we have such great characters in Rachel and Kelly Peyton, so I'm sure the 6th season would've been awesome. Plus, I think Nadia should've lasted longer than 1 episode, but now I see what her short-lived reappearance did for the series finale. Everything was just way too rushed! Irina completely contradicted everything that happened in season 2 and 4! And she was barely a force at the end of season 5. Plus, all that commotion about the Horizon and it wasn't even mentioned until the finale. Plus, it was just the sphere of life all over again! Don't get me wrong, I loved season 5, but it would've been awesome if they'd ended season 5 another way and then fleshed out the rambaldi endgame in a 6th season. Then it would've ended beautifully. But still, alias at its lowest was better than most tv at its best.

Season 5 was great but it was cut short and rushed. I really liked the new characters Rachel & Thomas and Amy Ackers character. I always thought they should have done one more season with everyone. Was it actually cancelled? I thought that they originally were going only for 5 seasons? I know Jennifer was pregnant in season 5. Is that why there was only 17 episodes? Or did ABC shorter the episodes because the ratinsg werent as great as season 4s?

And it was paired up with LOST, wasn't it?
    Which back then was popular!

Season 3 was not as good as the first 2 seasons, but ALIAS didn't have a complete new feel and it was a fresh feeling, but still had the old feeling, you know?
But once APO came into the picture, I thought the show went downhill, but the APO set was the best CIA/SD-6 set there was!!
