The episode story promised much more than it was in the end. Sydney is after a virus with her father and those two cannot work together. It goes wrong but in the end, it comes out that Sydney and Vaughn in last season end mission may be infected and have to sit down a little.. and most of the time this episode concentrates on Sydney's mother and father.. father decides to give himself in just before Sydney does this.. and so it look like this will save her mother but no - they are going to kill and and put her father away.. and so she does what she would never believe - lies.



To be honest, some of the story developments did not felt very believable but there were good moments.

Sloane.... !!!!! jajaja. Ojalá (aunque no lo creo) que tu mujer esté viva y te haga la vida imposible, te lo merecés. Jack encuentra en Sidney su redención, su versión mejorada y entiende al fin que no está en él decidir que debe pasar entre madre e hija. Vaughn no va a morir, en esa no me engañan.



(No tenía ganas de festejar mi cumpleaños, me obligaron a hacerlo, por eso los quiero, pero no se me cayó un sentimiento ni de casualidad, sólo las ganas de matarme cuando vi ese video, en serio, juro que es verdad verdad verdad verdad.)

I simply loved this episode because it encompassed all the reasons why I watch this series. From the beginning with the bad joke when Vaughn and Sydney are enjoying each other's company to the very end when we find out that Vaughn is infected with the virus. As the viewer for this episode, you have difficulty knowing whether you should side with Jack or not until that pivotal hospital scene where the victim utters the name "Irina." Jack is not free of all blame, but he was right from the beginning and Sydney should have listened. The airplane scene between Jack and Sydney was very well acted and Jennifer was so cold and convincing. Then when they finally reached their destination and they had to pose as a loving father and daughter it made you laugh at how well they work together. Arvin's part of the story was also very entertaining. We find out that Emily's body wasn't in her casket and she may very well be alive. Will is also back into the fold because he is doing research for Vaughn and Francie lightens up the tone of the show as she always manages to do with the burger scene. All in all, very well acted and plot-wise, extremely entertaining. It held my attention until the very end and when it was finally over, it left me wanting more. I love good television, but thank heavens for DVD season sets.

The first episode not rated over a 9.2 by me for the second season. The mission in this episode wasn't the ebst of the second season, in factit was likely the worst of the second season. The hospital storyline with Sydney and her father was basically just the odd interaction between the two of them after the end of the last episode when Sydney said she could never forgive her father for what she had done. The last couple minutes of the episode saved this episode from being rated in the low 7's for me, doesnt take too much in this show to turn it around. Sydneys mother still being killed in the next episode - fine by me. Having her around all season wasn't needed, she just needed to leave her mark on Sydney before she leaves this world and can never return to the show...the character did that and now she can be killed off. Jack being sent to jail - this is huge to me. I think his character has been so important to Sydneys devolopment on the show and is the main reason of how Sydney can help the CIA so much. He is the anchor that keeps Arvin away while she runs around the CIA, it will be interesting to see if the writers change this in the next episode or really go with it. Either way, average episode.

Emily could really be alive!



Sloan thinks he may have seen her on the street while he was out with Jack. Jack tells him that there's only one way to make sure, he doesn't say it, but you don't have to be a genius to work it out. Sloan digs up her grave, opens he coffin & surprise surprise, it's empty! So now the question remains, is she really alive?



Jack & Sydney's mission to a hospital in Geneva was very interesting. Syd still isn't speaking to her father but their cover was a loving father & daughter. They did play the part very well.



It turns out that Vaughn & Syd may have been exposed to the deadly virus in Taipai. They spend the night in quarantine until tests are run.



Jack was definately right when he told Syd that her mother plead guilty so that Sydney wouldn't have to hear all the horrible things she's done. Irena is one evil person!



And the clifhanger for the day, Vaughn has the virus. I can't wait till the next episode.

What a genius episode! I think I loved absolutely everything about this episode!! From the bad joke 'till the shocking end.



The beginning was great, although I didn't really get why Sydney and vaughn were standing there *-). I loved the joke :D Even better was that Sydney corrected him, and Vaughn was like: "it's a bad joke" :)



The mission with Jack and Sydney was cool too. The sick-guy was scary and it creeped me out that he called Irina's name and grabbed Sydney's arm. Loved the fighting to get out, especially the thing with the ammo was cool.



I think Jack was right when he said that Irina pled guilty fro Sydney, but Jack isn't a saint either. I know he absoluteley doesn't trust that women, but he should what she's turning him into. He's becoming a danger for everyone around him.



Will's got a job! Good for him, even better that it's from Vaughn 'cause that keeps cute Will in the story, whereas Francie doesn't have any part in it lately. Loved the scene in the restaurant though!



Vaughn and Sydney are getiing closer and closer. I love it! i loved the scene in the room with the "Don't frost the pie!" thingie. And I loved the scene later in the restaurant. True Love.



The end was a big shocker for me, and I frickin' can't wait to see what happens. Thank god for DVD's so I don't :P
