Episode Recap

Sydney is running from French guards at the Machlet Corporation. She is grasping a stolen satchel as the guards fire at her. She gets into the first elevator she can find. Once inside, she punches out the ceiling panel and pulls herself to the top. She climbs the cables and escapes to the street where a limo is waiting for her.

At the university, Sydney meets Vaughn to go over the details of her mission. Sydney is intent on taking down SD-6 now that she is a double agent for the CIA. Vaughn shows her a map that depicts how large SD-6's chain is. It has over 200 groups and contacts and not just the L.A. section that she works for. Sydney doesn't want to, but accepts the fact that it will take a long time before she can completely shut down SD-6 and Arvin Sloane.

Will, in true journalist fashion, confronts Sydney and asks about her recent "business trip" and what exactly Danny may have been involved in that would lead to him getting killed. Sydney tells Will that she is still hurt and confused since Danny's death. She asks him to leave it alone.

Will cannot stop his curiosity and he finds out that Danny was booked on a flight from L.A. to Singapore the night he was killed. He tells Sydney and she must fight to hide to her shock.

Sydney returns to SD-6 for the first time. She gets instructions from Sloane that she is to travel to Moscow. Her mission is to intercept the sale of stolen Soviet-American nuclear arsenal files. After the briefing, Sloane takes Sydney to his office where she finds her father, Jack, waiting for her. Syd is left in private with Jack and asks him if SD-6's plan to kill Danny had been brought to his attention first. Later, Jack admits that he booked Danny on the flight to Singapore. He went to Danny's house that night to find that he was too late.

In Moscow, Sydney acts as a hotel maid to get access to the hotel room of a CRC representative who is holding the payoff money. Dixon is meeting the sellers at a club. Sydney fights off bodyguards and discovers that the money is fake. She changes into party clothes and rushes over to the club. She makes a switch with Dixon. He gives her the two computer disks containing the files and she gives him two drink coasters. Dixon and Sydney take the sellers out and escape with the disks. While at LAX, Vaughn completes a "brush pass" with Sydney then duplicates the disks for CIA use. He returns the disks to Sydney as she is about to get into a car with Dixon and she gives them to Sloane at SD-6.

Sloane uses the disks to find out that a nuclear device from the Cold War is buried somewhere in the United States.

Sydney's mission is to go to a Virginia cemetery. She finds a tombstone that has the contact's name, Ivanov, engraved on it. She digs up the grave and finds that the nuclear device is rigged to the lid of the coffin. With only two minutes before detonation, she panics and calls Marshall who tells her how to disarm it.

Sydney meets with Vaughn. He is angry and tells her that SD-6 has sold the device to Ineni Hassan. Hassan is a known arms dealer from Cairo. Sydney knows Hassan and volunteers to go to Cairo and get the bomb back.

At the CIA, Davenport informs Vaughn that he is no longer handling the Bristow case. Devlin, the boss, wants a senior officer to take over.

Sydney and a CIA operative go to Cairo. Sydney finds the bomb and dismantles it. She grabs the green core from the bomb and turns to see a gun is aimed at her head. It's Hassan...
