  • I felt sick...

"I felt sick... all those people, standing there, patriots, believing they work for the . Government, none of them realize that the information they gather is being used by heartless men like Arvin Sloane, for an organization that would trade their lives for a profit in a heart

    -- Sydney Bristow

    Now that's irony.

Sydney feeling sorry for all those patriotic dupes at SD-6, when she herself is being used by heartless men in a far more vicious organization that would trade their lives for a profit in a heart beat.

How about feeling sorry for Pat Tillman, Bradley Manning, and Edward Snowden? They realized they were patriotic dupes and began blowing the whistle. Look what happened to them.moreless
  • Times are changing..

    8.0
A new player is on the picture - the same one who attacked SD-6 but noone knows who is behind. They only know name "The man".

Same time than trying to get to the truth on it, Sydney has many personal problems - first school. She feels like she doesn't want to continue after the truth about her mother.. and someway I got her.. I really think the whole school thing in the story is to get her char more acceptable for younger audience but really - how you would manage to go to school if you have missions every other day? That looks illogical but ok.. it adds something to the show.. And then her friend.. and her fiancee..moreless
  • With a little from my friends...

    9.0
Directed by Thomas J. Wright, a rather prolific director who has worked for renowned genre shows such as X-flies, Angel and Millennium, and other notable series such as One Tree Hill, Firefly and CSI, imbues The Coup with a style that compliments the rather character driven script by Alex and Roberto. Sark, a character that will go on to define some of Alias' best moments, has an immensely cool opening scene, and all throughout the episode there are some gorgeous looking shots. What this episode lacks in the action department, it compensates with some brilliant character moments: loved how Will had his own little mission to work on, infiltrating a company to hack into the computerised guestbook; likewise, I thoroughly enjoyed the Vegas scenes of Syd trying to do her job all the while preventing Francie making a huge mistake. The scene involving Jack reminiscing about when Syd and her mother used to love going on the carousel was another example of Alias knocking one right out of the park. Overall, it's a solid episode made even better by allowing characters like Jack, Francie and Will some time to grow.moreless
  • The Man

    9.0
    1. Por favor que a nadie se la ocurra que Sidney y Vaughn no terminen juntos. J.J. dejaría de contar con mi respeto reverencial.

    2. The Man es un zarpado total.

  • I liked it a lot!

    9.5
Sydney learns that Charlie was having an affair with another woman while dating Francie. Sydney and Dixon go to Vegas for their next mission. Sydney is surprised to find Francie and Charlie there. They are going to a wedding chapel, so Sydney must find a way to get to them and do the mission. She talks to Charlie and confronts him about it. Will continues his search into SD-6. Jack helps in making Sydney's decision to quit school. Dixon and Sydney go to Russia to listen in on a secret meeting. There is a guy named Sark involved. Sydney is caught...

This episode was great! The ending was exciting! I liked Charlie, I wish he didn't have an affair. This episode gets a 9.5 out of 10 from me!moreless

    • (Sydney tells Will about Charlie's affair)
Sydney: Will I don't know what to do.
Will: You sure it's the same Charlie?
Sydney: Yes! Francie's going to be devastated.
Will: This just doesn't make any sense- I don't understand, I mean who the hell lives a double life like that?
Sydney: (being reassuring) There are people.

    • Sydney: What is that?
      Will: What?
      Sydney: Is that a "hicky"?
Will: No- what? (looks in the mirror) Oh my God! I have to get to a meeting.
Sydney: Wait, you know I actually have cover up.
      Will: You have enough?
      Sydney: Yeah, I have.
      Will: This is very embarrassing.
Sydney: Because I saw it or because it's there at all?
Will: No, I mean look at it, it looks like I'm 15 years old.
Sydney: Well that's about the age of your intern.
Will: You know? When I said 15 I knew you were going to say that.
Sydney: Did the Clinton Administration teach you nothing?
      Will: Whoa! I'm not married.

    • Sydney: (about Sloane's congratulations to the SD-6 personnel after Cole's attack) I felt sick... all those people, standing there, patriots, believing they work for the U.S. Government, none of them realize that the information they gather is being used by heartless men like Arvin Sloane, for an organization that would trade their lives for a profit in a heart beat.

    • Jack: When you asked me the other day about school, I couldn't help you. I... I'm out of practice when it comes to, uh... personal matters.
Sydney: Dad, I'm in no rush.
Jack: Believing your mother was a professor may have influenced you somewhat but the decision to go back to school was yours. And I'd trust that. I think that, uh, if you stick with it... you could become the kind of teacher your students will always remember.
      Sydney: Thank you.

    • Sydney: You and I are friends, Charlie, so you know I have nothing against you going into this, but I swear to God, if you marry Francie without telling her what you've been up to, I will kill you.
      Charlie: Sydney...
Sydney: No discussion. You don't tell her, and I will. Got it?

    • Francie: Was coming to Vegas the greatest idea or what? Hey, check it out. There's a wedding chapel.
      Charlie: Aw, come on.
Francie: Why not? I mean, just think about it. Just us. No parents. No hassle.

    • Francie: What's in the bag and where are you off to this time?
      Sydney: Vegas.
Francie: Vegas! What was I just saying? Where should we go?
Charlie: After that brunch, Vegas isn't far enough.
Francie: I'm serious. Baby, that's our cue. We could just go tonight.
Sydney: W-w-wait. This is not a vacation for me. There's this public relations conference and...
Francie: Sydney, we don't need you to babysit.
Sydney: What I mean is I'd want to hang out with you guys. Just wait a week. We'll all go together.

    • Sydney: Don't start defending your thing with Jenny. She's not in your league and you know it.
Will: Who's in my league? What league? Show me a league and I'll buy a ticket, I'll go to the meetings and I will try and find those people. Where are they?

    • Sydney: Last week, I was ready to leave SD-6 but maybe I was focused on the wrong place. I think maybe I only went to grad school because Mom did. She was a teacher, so I always thought that was something I wanted to do. But now that I know it was just her cover, and that it didn't mean anything to her, I'm thinking I should just drop it.

    • Sydney: Did the guy from your office end up reporting you?
Vaughn: Haladki? Yeah, he did. But Devlin only slapped me on the wrist. Even though going into SD-6 without clearance wasn't exactly constitutional.

    • Sydney: I just wanted to rip his finger right off again. Does that make me a bad person?
Vaughn: (chuckles) No. But it might have blown your cover.
      Sydney: You think?

    • Vaughn: Yeah. Last week, when you talked about quitting SD-6...
      Sydney: I was being naive.
Vaughn: No, but, um, what you said about wanting to go to a hockey game...wanting me to be part of your life... I, uh, I think I wasn't clear about something. (pause) That it would be nice to be in public with you, to actually get to look at you. Grab a pizza or go to a hockey game. I-I just... I wasn't clear that I would really like that, too.

    • (Sydney is sliding across a wire on the top of the two buildings)
      Dixon: How's it hanging, Syd?
      Sydney: Very funny.
