  • Lie-detector test...

After the ending of last episode, there where the hints, that there might be a mole inside SD-6 and this time they are taking actions, and mostly against Sydney it feels - she can be in danger.. and what I like even more, she has to deal with lie detector - and Vaughn is there to mentor her trough that.. and it looks like going well but when the time comes, did she passed the test is another question.. And it looked like she failed..

And the dangerous hunt of mystical clock continues.. and Anna comes to play again.. and she just finds the moments to pop in.

And Will's storyline gets exciting development with that bug..moreless
  • Mientes

  • Exciting!

Sydney works with Vaughn to practice for the lie detector test that Sloane is going to give to find the mole. Anna follows Sydney as she tries to solve the Rambaldi puzzle. Will fights with his boss, so he doesn't have to publish his story. While on a mission, Sydney and Dixon find a secret to the Rambaldi puzzle. Syd finds the journal, but Anna is close and Dixon is shot. Anna and Sydney fight on the ladder and Sydney falls a great distance. The results for the lie detector test are in and they know Sydney's a mole.

This was a great episode! The ending was great! I can't believe that Sloane knows the truth about Sydney! This episode gets a 10 out of 10!moreless

  • Review

I dont think I would ever classify this episode as a blockbuster, but I must admit I was pretty entertained throughout the duration of the episode. Every scene seemed to have a purpose and I couldnt really label any of the scenes a filler type of scene. The ending fight scene was amazing right until Sydney feel much further then I could ever see someone falling and living. I had the same problem with John Lockes fall in "The Man From Tallahasse" on the show Lost. If you want to make the fall itself seem real, have her fall ten feet. Thats plenty of feet to where she could pass out for an hour and still lose Anna. Everything about this episode was good right up until the ending part there. I like the random Rambaldi storylines as well. I dont know if that will continue or if this is just the first of many plots that SD 6 is trying to run down.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • When Sydney pulls Jack aside to question him about her being followed by SD-6, they go into a conference room and Sydney uses a remote control to shut the doors. However, the doors begin closing slightly before Sydney uses the remote.

    • There are only five agents, including Jack, in SD-6 who know the truth about SD-6.

    • When Sydney has to collect the Rambaldi artifact before Anna Espinosa does, they have to get into a secured room which only security cards have access to. When she is in she escapes out of that severely-secured room through a simple unsecured window.

    • When Sydney is escaping from the building and about to jump off the roof you can clearly see her high heels she is wearing as she attaches the rope. She then jumps with the same shoes on, but at the bottom we see a different pair of shoes on her as she swings to safety. Then at the bottom she runs off in the original pair once again!

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Donato: The first Giovanni Donato, his timepieces, were miracles of precision. Kings and queens offered him vast riches if only he would design clocks for them. He refused. But he did make... one exception.
      Sydney: For Rambaldi.
      (Donato nods yes
      Sydney: Why?
Donato: Rambaldi made him a promise.
      Sydney: What did he promise?
Donato: Rambaldi promised him he would live an impossible long life. Even revealed to him when he would die.
      Sydney: Was he right?
      Donato: Of course.

    • Sydney: This symbol on the front, what does it mean? (Referring to the Rambaldi symbol)
Donato: The Magnific Order of Rambaldi. Rambaldi's most loyal followers entrusted with safeguarding his creations. Sadly, like most things that once were pure, criminals now use the symbol to infiltrate the order.

    • (During Sydney's preparation for the lie detector test)
      Vauhgn: Are you a double-agent?
Sydney: No... but my father is.
Vaughn: I'm sure he'd be thrilled, if you gave Dreyer that answer.

    • June Litvack: And on the eve of your first front-page story, you suddenly get cold feet.
Will: What are you saying? What are you saying? I made this whole thing up? Look, I swear to God, the only reason I didn't want this story to run is 'cause I don't want to hurt Sydney Bristow. That's it.
June Litvack: You're a talented writer, Will. But I promise you, if anything like this ever happens again, the only thing you'll be inventing are facts on your own resume.

    • Jack: Lie detector test.
Sydney: I studied the C.I.A. instruction book on how to take a successful LDT.
Jack: This isn't like that. This test monitors variations in blood flow inside the brain. It's very difficult to deceive. Tell your handler Vaughn he needs to prepare you for this. If he can't, he'll get someone who can.

    • Sloane: Tell me something. How did Tippin get a lead on the Kate Jones alias in the first place?
Jack: I don't know yet, but I'm looking into it.
Sloane: Well, your efforts notwithstanding, that reporter may well be a casualty of his own curiosity.
Jack: I'd consider that a last resort. I know you want what's best for Sydney, and if at all possible, we should spare her the pain of losing someone else.

    • (Sloane wants Will to stop looking into Danny's murder)
Sloane: How do you suggest we proceed?
Jack: Leave it to me, I'll get Tippin off the story.
      Sloane: And if you can't?
Jack: Then I'll kill him myself.

    • (Vaughn's preparing Sydney for her lie detector test)
Vaughn: Are you romantically interested in anyone? (Sydney stares back at him) It could be a question.
      Sydney: No, I'm not.
(The machine starts beeping and the readings go off the chart)
      Vaughn: Interesting...
Sydney: Wait. Ask me that again.
Vaughn: I don't have to, we've got your answer right here. It's very good, we're moving on.
Sydney: Hey, if this were for real I'd be dead by now, wouldn't I?

    • Sydney: How do I look?
Dixon: (smiles) For the record, that's a question you never have to ask anyone.

    • Will: (reading from a book) "Laura, all my love forever and a day. Jack." That's not, like, your dad Jack, is it?
      Sydney: Yeah.
Will: Wow. That's uncharacteristically sweet of him.
Sydney: I know. He actually has a heart, which I'm learning little by little.

    • Marshall: That sound that you're-- you know that boom? That's my mind blowing!
