After seeking out a modest living as a piano teacher in Alabama and Florida, Polly Holliday decided to switch her attention to acting. To accommodate the decision she moved to Sarasota where she spent ten seasons with the Asolo State Theater. In 1973, Holliday headed for New York, where she was cast in Murray Schisgal's Broadway play All Over Town; her director was Dustin Hoffman. All Over Town led to the tiny but pivotal role as a testy secretary in the Dustin Hoffman-Robert Redford feature All the President's Men (1976)--which, in turn, led to Polly being cast as wise-cracking waitress Florence Jean "Flo" Castleberry in the TV sitcom Alice (1976-80). Rising to nationwide fame by virtue of her oft-repeated catchphrase "Kiss mah grits!", Holliday earned four Emmy nominations and one Golden Globe Award. In 1980, she was spun off into her own weekly series Flo, which lacked Alice's staying power and was cancelled after a single season. She went on to briefly replace Eileen Brennan on TV's Private Benjamin (1983), and to play Captain Betty in the pilot episode of Stir Crazy (1985). Her film roles of the 1980s included Gremlins (1984), in which she was eminently hissable as Margaret Hamilton clone Mrs. Deagle. Polly Holliday's more recent work has largely been confined to the Broadway stage; in 1989, she received a Tony nomination for her portrayal of Sister Woman in a revival of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. In the early 90's she appeared as Sally Field's nosey neighbor in the hugely popular movie "Mrs. Doubtfire". Although Polly never really recaptured the dazzling success of her "Alice" years, she has continued at a healthy pace mostly in guest spots these days as various wise and opinionated moms and grandmas. Whether or not we see Polly in any other roles in the future is unknown, however one thing remains true, she will always be remembered and loved as "Flo" and im sure many people at one point in their life will catch themselves qouting that famous line "Kiss mah Grits".moreless

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Robert Picardo graduated from the William Penn Charter School. He entered Yale University as a pre-med student, not knowing that he would someday portray doctors in three separate productions: first as Dr. Dick Richard on the ABC series China Beach, then as Dr. McCaskill in the theater production In The Waiting Room at the Mark Taper Forum, and then as The Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager.
After graduating from Yale University Robert wanted to be an actor, but his parents weren't supportive. This changed when he sang in Leonard Bernstein's Mass, and Bernstein himself saw Picardo and told him he should pursue being an actor. The young Picardo asked Bernstein to tell that to his parents, which the great composer did, thereby changing their minds. In 1997 he made his Broadway debut in the comedy Gemini with Danny Aiello.

In the early 1980's he became involved in television, where he soon was nominated for an Emmy award for his role as Mr. Cutlip on the acclaimed series The Wonder Years. Following The Wonder Years he has had much success on television, he starred as Dr. Richard on China Beach and then played The Doctor on Star Trek: Voyager for six seasons. He finished up starring in Stargate Atlantis in 2009 as Richard Woolsey.
Currently he is starring in various online films for Acme Brand Comedy.

Bob resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Linda, and their two daughters.

Born of immigrant parents and raised in a small farming town in New Jersey, Shimerman's family moved to Los Angeles when he was 16 years old. In an effort to help her son meet new people, his mother enrolled him in a drama group and (as the saying goes) the rest is history. Upon graduation from the University of California at Los Angeles, he was chosen as one of eight apprentices out of 900 for the prestigious Old Globe Theater in San Diego. Shimerman appeared prominently in many regional theater productions for the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum, the American Shakespeare Festival, the New York Shakespeare Festival, and the Indiana Repertory Theater. Following a move to New York, he landed roles in the Broadway production of Richard Rodger's last musical, "I Remember Mama," "Broadway" with Chris Sarandon and Teri Garr, "St. Joan" with Lynn Redgrave and Joe Papp's production of "Three Penny Opera" with Raul Julia. Shimerman then returned to his adopted hometown of Los Angeles and his success continued as he appeared in recurring roles in two CBS series. He portrayed Pascal in Beauty & The Beast, and Cousin Bernard in Brooklyn Bridge. He has also guest starred over 65 times on such television series as L.A. Law, Married: With Children, Civil Wars and Seinfeld. Perhaps the most memorable of Shimerman's guest appearances was in Star Trek: The Next Generation when he made his debut as the uncredited Wedding Box in the first season episode entitled "Haven." Later that season, Armin returned to the set of Star Trek: The Next Generation where he portrayed Letek, the first Ferengi in a Star Trek series, in the episode "The Last Outpost." During the third season hiatus of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Shimerman worked on the film "An Eye for an Eye" with Sally Field and Ed Harris. He has also co-starred with Andrew McCarthy, Patsy Kensit and Star Trek: The Next Generation alumna Denise Crosby in the feature film "Dream Man," in which he portrays District Attorney Van Horne. Teaching his unique Shakespearean acting approach to students throughout Los Angeles keeps Shimerman busy in his spare time. He has taught at the High School of the Performing Arts, the Theatricum Botanicum, the Tyrone Guthrie Theatre, the College of Idaho and several workshop companies, as well as his alma mater, UCLA. He has also spent time as a scribe, writing "The Merchant Prince," as well as two Star Trek novels, "Wheels within Wheels" and "The 34th Rule." Shimerman is active as a National Board Member of the Screen Actors Guild.moreless
