I just got through watching the series on DVD (having only watched a couple of episodes when it was originally aired.) It is a fairly good show that dealt with issues pertaining to our own situations but through the use of an alien race that merges into our society.

My issue: having just watched the entire first season I am upset that FOX (yet again) cancelled the series because there were some huge cliff-hangers.

Does anyone know about how it resolves? Was there a movie that followed up on the show? Any information is appreciated. Thanks

I don't know if this helps any, but there were several "made for TV" movies done in the 90's.  I never saw any of them myself, though I wish I had.  Look on IMDB:

there is a graphic novel called the lost episode which concludes the final episode, it was distributed by malibu graphics in june 1992. briefly, emily recovers while susan is still ill. george gets contaminated whilst foiling the purists attempt to spray the bacteria in the air from a helicopter. Realising that the baceria had killed two male newcomers kathy dedeuces that female hormones are the cure but can't understand why susan has not recovered until realising that she is at the end of her cycles and has a low hormone count, while emily is going thru puberty and has a high hormone count. She prepares the antidote and it works susan and george recover, in the meantime matt finds out that lorraine has purist sympathies causing them to part whilst realising his attraction to kathy.

i hope this quick reveiw of the novel answers a few questions
