1/18/95Handyman Cody fixes himself up with Margaret after he works on her new basement living quarters, but her family constantly interrupts their encounters. Meanwhile, Grandmother gets a viewer-tracking device ("I get paid to watch TV? God bless America!") but finds the responsibility too much for her.
1/11/95Hoping to find more privacy away from home, Margaret moves into an apartment with Ruthie and Gloria, then discovers that her room mates have some bizzare personal habits.
12/14/94Her brother's misfortune pleases Margaret -- until he decides to quit medicine and she must help him regain his perspective. Meanwhile, Eric tries to join the hockey team and Grandma loses her pet cricket.
12/7/94Margaret is horrified to find she is going through a "dating slump" when she can't attract a man; so Stuart suggests that she volunteer for work at his hospital in order to meet guys. Meanwhile, Grandma tries out a few more American names. Mr. & Mrs. Kim try to get some time "alone".

11/23/94Some expensive perfume vanishes while Ruthie is away from the counter she's supposed to be watching, and Margaret must decide what to tell management -- and she's aghast when for the first time in her life her mother refuses to tell her what to do. 11/2/94Mr. & Mrs. Kim and Stuart have dinner with some very competitve old friends, The Parks. They end up at the same resturant/bar that Margaret and her friends have decide to go to. As Margaret is waiting to sing karaoke, she breaks into an improptu stand up act focusing on her family, which embarasses and mortifies her parents and brother. Meanwhile, Grandma has trouble with the cable company.

10/26/94When Margaret needs a reliable temp to work with her at the cosmetics counter, Ruthie and Gloria recruit her mother. Mrs. Kim's medeling and then lack of medleling frustrates Margaret. 10/19/94A national book chain makes the Kims a buyout offer. During negotiations, Margaret blows the deal. Instead of buying out the Kims, the chain announces plans to open a store across the street. Margaret then uses her feminine wiles to persuade the man in charge to open the store elsewhere.
10/12/94Amy, Stuart's demure and traditional fiancée, breaks the engagement after Margaret and her friends throws her a bachelorette party and show her a wilder lifestyle. After some proding from her parents, Margaret attempts to reconcile the couple
10/5/94Grandma disappears at the mall, only to return home with a Korean businessman who begins to date her, then proposes. Grandma accepts, then must face moving away from her family to join his family in Florida. Meanwhile, a reluctant Casey learns the bookselling business for a school project.
9/28/94Ruthie takes advantage of new manager Margaret and puts a real strain on their friendship. Meanwhile, Margaret's grandmother becomes convinced that the family's run of back luck is due to bad feng shui in the house.
9/21/94Margaret starts behaving like a traditional submissive Korean woman to impress a cute Korean doctor. After dinner with his family, Margaret can't keep up the act and comes clean and tells her new beau that she isn't as traditional as she seems.
9/14/94Margaret's mother disapproves of her new non-Korean boyfriend Kyle, prompting a furious Margaret to announce that they are going to move in together. Luckily, Margaret's father figures out a way to make things right and for everyone to save face.
