The characters known as The Lorenzos were a welcome addition to All in the Family. The late Vincent Gardenia and the late Betty Garrett were excellent in their respective roles. The scene of the Lorenzos in their kitchen debating Irene's kindness is very well done. They are not the only reason why this episode works so well. The performances are all top notch. The dialogue is also razor sharp. There are also plenty of laughs in "Archie and 'The Kiss'" as well. Every time I see this episode, I always laugh at the statue Archie bought Gloria as an apology.
