Archie befriends a Jewish man named Bernard Bernstein and plans to make a doorbell invention and sell it. But Bernard needs 1000 dollars to do it, and Edith, who thinks the invention is kind of stupid, tries to persuade Archie to not give Bernard the money.

Good episode. It got kind of boring near the middle, but the ending, when Bernard dies, is one of my favorite endings, because it handled the emotionality of a death in a mature way. They didn't try to end the episode on a joke, they ended it in a sad, serious way, and it paid off. The whole last 5 minutes is pretty good.moreless
