Barney Hefner's wife is called "Mabel" in this episode, but later in the series, she is known as "Blanche."
Archie: Do you know, Edith, that there a lot of husbands out there who hit their wives whether they deserve it or not?
Edith: Archie, maybe I could forgive you if you hit me. But I don't think I could ever forgive you for making me hit you.
Archie: What does THAT mean?
Edith: It means you lied to me, Archie.
Archie: Hey! Listen now, Edith. (points to his cheek) I still got no feeling here.
(After Archie comes down from the bathroom.)
Archie: Edith, let me tell you something about beer. You can never buy it. You can only rent it!
(Archie laughs but Edith is not too happy.)
Archie: Hey, come on now! What's the matter? Did I just hear the phone ring?
Edith: (tersely) Yes.
Archie: Who was it for?
Edith: It was for you.
Archie: Well, don't just stand there, Edith. What was it?
Edith: It was Glow Worm in the fifth!
(With that, Edith slaps Archie hard across the face and runs upstairs. Archie can't believe it.)
Archie: One thing about beer Edith, you never buy it, you only rent it.
(after Edith quickly pulls out a pencil)
Archie: She slings it out like Matt Dillon.
