All In The Family

Edith and Gloria joke with Beverly LaSalle as he models his new ensemble for them for a show that he'll be doing at Carnegie Hall. After Gloria leaves, Edith invites Beverly to Christmas dinner and tells him that he's "like a sister" to her and presents him with an early Christmas gift: a scrapbook of all his performances. After Archie gets home, Mike and Gloria stop by the house and Beverly asks where he can pick up a cab. Mike offers to show him and when they leave, the two men end up getting jumped. Michael has minor injuries, but Beverly is beaten to death. When Edith realizes that it was because he was different, she decides not to go to church, and tells Archie that she may never go again.
