      • The song Edith sings to her Aunt Rose in the funeral home is "Getting to Know You" from the musical The King and I.

      • If Edith's aunt knew she was going to die she could easily have arranged it herself. By paying for the funeral herself or making the funeral home the beneficery of the life insurance. Lots of people who know they are going to die, do all the arrangements themselves to spare others grief and to make sure there wishes are carried out exactly as they want them to be.

      • Edith states that she has spoken to her Aunt Rose in years and that she was mean and hateful but when Edith cousin got married her Aunt Rose was friendly.

      • If Edith was the only one from the family to show up at her aunt's funeral, then who made the funeral and burial arrangements? They never say that Edith did, so apparently someone else made them and then didn't bother to show up.
