Despite Edith's pleading, Archie refuses to accompany her to her Aunt Rose's funeral, in part because Aunt Rose despised Archie. Reluctantly, Edith goes alone to pay her final respects to Aunt Rose. Upon arrival, Edith is stunned to find that she is the sole mourner. After some time, a gentleman finally comes in to grieve with Edith, only to discover that he is in the wrong room. After he too leaves, Edith cries genuinely that no one has to come mourn Aunt Rose. When she finally leaves, Archie is waiting outside in the hallway for her. Not wanting her to walk home in the dark, Archie borrowed Munson's cab to come get her. Edith voices her concern that no one will come to her funeral, but Archie assures her that tons of people will be there, including himself.
