  • Archie's old army buddy's wife comes to visit, and Archie is visually aroused by her shapely tone. After trying to deny this in a conversation with Mike, Edith has to make a decision, because she overheard.moreless

This episode is strangely somber in tone. Most of the jokes are at the beginning, then the story takes an abruptly serious turn. It is interestingly written, and sets the stage for more heavy subject matter which would begin arriving later that season.

It is also of note that Gloria LeRoy, who played Bobbi Jo, appeared in a sometime recurring role as Boom Boom, who worked at Archie's plant.

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Edith says that it will be the first night that she and Archie slept separately in 24 years. But in the episode "Edith Has Jury Duty", Edith spent several nights in a hotel.

Edith also took Gloria and left Archie for a short time when Archie wouldn't quit gambling early in their marriage so she slept apart from him then too.

Don't forget "Cousin Maude's Visit" when Maude made the sickly Archie sleep on the couch.
