Robert and his sister prepare for their father's 60th birthday celebration; Neesee helps Courtney prepare for the school dance
  • I totally enjoyed this episode. Great character interactions and I loved Courtney's friends and the whole getting ready for the dance scene.

I had heard of this show, but this episode was only the second one I had seen. As a new viewer I founf the interactions between the characters funny and believable. As a mom of two teenagers I really enjoyed the scene when Courtney and her friends are getting ready for the dance. Dirk's over-protective reactions were hysterical. I know Courtney isn't one of the main pivotal characters, but I think it would be fun to explore her budding maturity with her friends, boys, IMing, etc. I like how thier was both humor and sincerity in the handling of Robert's father not really being his father. That could have gone off track but it didn't. All in all a great episode.moreless
