This episode started a trend that aired on Girlfriends and Half & Half. All the episodes featured some Star Trek joke. Levar Burton and his role as Commander LaForge is mentioned after Bobby watched Roots. Sulu is mentioned on Half & Half and Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi) and Uhura on Girlfriends.

When Robert and Neesee are having a conversation about Peyton and Robert is warning her to be careful, he is eating an apple and the apple is red. The camera pans to Neese for her comments, then right back to Robert for his. The apple is now green. It goes right back to Robert and the apple is red again.

The storyline loses a major focus with this episode. In the season finale of the season two, the program director states the ratings are higher under the new format of Robert's show. Yet, in this episode he states the show was canceled and he was out of a job.
We never get a full explanation of what happened to Tia? Tia was too sophisticated and mature to not be pregnant and just up and leave Robert.
Thirdly, we never get any real closure to Dirk and Jonelle's relationship. He simply announces they are broken up and just have pity sex.

Robert has shaving cream on his nipples when Neesee pushes him in to the shower to avoid Bobby seeing them together. When he opens the curtain immediately afterward, the shaving cream is gone. But in the following shots when the two have their little battle, the shaving cream is back on his chest.

Earlier in the show, the score was 4 to 10. Then at the end, coach bobby says,"now we're two points away from the other team" and then they briefly show the score. It says 4 to 10. Then when you see it again it says 9 to 10.

When Bobby is trying to persuade Turtle to give him the basketball cookie, it has one bite in it, a second later it has multiple bites in it and Turtle's mouth is half full.

We learn that Bobby Jr.'s middle name is Humphrey.
