how do i watch it on this site??
  • Better than it has been for a while, but still a far cry from the show at it's best... or even it's best in season 7.

I was really unimpressed with most of season 10, the last ten or so episodes in particular. I don't like the storyline with Bart and Annie, I dislike the way they're trying to make an unethical, rashly-conceived relationship into an OTP. But they didn't pile it on like they have in the past, which was a relief, though I found Annie's rationale of leaving Bart if the cancer was back to be selfish and irresponsible. If she didn't want him to be involved when she was sick, why did she push for a relationship when she was being treated with chemotherapy? The chemistry between Jack and Sophie was good, a nice change to women I think Traval has not chemistry with. Having said that, there didn't seem a lot of point the storyline about him being in pathology. Why not have the ward blowing up be the cliffhanger so they could dedicate the episode to the aftermath? In general, I felt they spent too much time pre-blowup that could have been spent post blowup.

The comaraderie between the staff in the ED was nice, if you could get over Bart fussing over Annie, and there were a lot of little nuances which I appreciated. I liked the way Mike supported Gabby with the phone call - it's good to see Mike interacting with the female staff without it being sexual. I liked the support Jack and Gabby gave Charlotte in the debrief - I've always thought Charlotte had a good comaraderie with those two and I'd like to see that developed more.

Overall, though, I feel this show is constantly on the downslide, and while some episodes are better than others, overall, it's not as good as it was a year ago.moreless
  • Been there, done that and not done too well at that.

I missed a lot of last season as I felt the storylines were headed away from the departments and into the worker's beds. Despite that I tuned in to the season premier and ended up wishing I didn't.

It wasn't the worst episode I'd ever watched, but they've had explosions in the hospital before and been held hostage and it feels a little 'old'. Another point about this episode that I didn't like was the acting. The actor who plays Dan (his name escapes me at the moment) is usually one of the strongest actors on the show, but when he was trapped in the room I didn't feel his desire to get out of it - it seemed a little flat - as did the acting by the actress playing Erica. I've never been a huge fan of her character, the character being annoying, but her portrayal of being a rape victim just didn't come across as tramatic or very emotional - again it seemed flat.

I didn't make it to the end of the episode to see how it all ended and I won't be tuning in until some fresh storylines are written that don't have me rolling my eyes!moreless
