  • A west African woman with complications from genital mutilation sees everyone stake their claim on the issue.

Nura, A West African Woman being admitted for an infection as a result of genital mutilation, divides opinions on the ward. Stephanie is passionate about the woman's rights, encouraging Luke to do what he can to fix her up while he's down there - it's not like anyone will know. Luke is reluctant to get involved - he's doing only the procedure he's been given consent for. Terri believes they should all more more open-minded of African culture. The other guys are varying shades of disgust, outrage and indifference. Jaz wants to stop every man, woman and child from stopping in to have a look. Sophie's pasionate cry against genital mutilation reveals her own repressed anger towards her late husband.

One of the best storylines I've ever seen in drama, because it incorporated the thoughts of so many people, and deeper issues they had which the story dug up. It gave me a sense of who these people were and where they had come from to have their mentality, as well as addressing a sensitive issue. It's really unfortunately the current All Saints doesn't have the same such calibre of scriptwriters.moreless
  • Past lives.

Zo far, one of the best episodes I've seen since season one started.

The main story lines are as followed.

A young black woman is admitted for an infection. But the girls mother is putting up a fight.

Another young woman is admitted with a fever. Von is the only one can make a correct diagnoses.

A man, Von's age is admitted with throat cancer. It turns out he's an old friend. Revealing things from Von's past.

Wonderful performance by Judith in this episode. Always predenting as if she does care. But she cares more than she lets on. It's a tough character and she makes it seem so easy.

    Excellent episode.moreless
