It may have been that I was watching this ep at one in the morning after not having slept in over a day, but this episode was very, very mediocre to me, and the storylines overhyped.

For starts, the 'they will lose one of their own' storyline was the centre of AS's promotions for the week - and it turned out that the doc in question was JC, who's been features in one or two eps previously when Mike/Jack/Vincent/Bianca need another surgeon. The way he was set up for a heart attack was obvious and cliched, and the way people mourned him as if it really HAD been one of their own felt OOC.

And the storyline with Paulie was overhyped as well. Her 'insights' were nothing more then a few basic truths. I was looking forward to having Cate face some latent jealousies towards the adventurous life Jo's led, and was sorely let down in that regard. The whole storyline felt patched together.

And I wasn't fussed on Vincent's reaction to Charlotte's pregnancy, either - his happiness for her was far too contrived, especially after the way it was built up. Sam for Molly's miraculous recovery - my only hope is that it came just in time for Spence's dispath.

Bianca wasn't there this week, I wonder if that means she's left? I hope so.

    Very, very mediocre.moreless
