  • Yahoo the serpant is gone!

They killed the serpant with a bang.

Too bad she took Charlottes work tho.

Mind you she does deserve it with that awful skirt.

I do wonder though who is the new one. Is she good or evil. I think we need to watch our backs.

Pity about frank but he will live. And what about von are they goinbg to get her back in the fray. Tune in to see.

  • A thoroughly dissapointing ending to an out-of-character storyline.

    3.0
Of the the four episodes which featured Deanna's decent into evil (Behind Closed Doors, The Mercy Seat, Shadows of the Heart and Just Dessrts) JD was the worst of them as far as Deanna's character went, I thought. Starting off being ruthlessly ambitious, she rapidly disintegrated into petty cow territory, undermining Doctors like Charlotte and Vincent who she should be trying to get in good with, and alienating Nelson, who is the only other person on the ward apart from Jack calling for her to be given a fair go, and leaving herself wide open for Jack to realise how manipulative she is.

And I didn't think it was fair she got blamed for Jess and Von's departure. Von left because she was unsettled by a patient who ended up in a coma (only Deanna's fault unless you count, in her own harrassed, unsettled frame of mind, she failed to give Von the support she needed) and Jess left to go a a NUMs job at St. Angela's. Jess has shown in the past she wants to be NUM, and has probably had feelers out long before Deanna came onto the scene; I thought it was unfair that Deanna got blamed for 'driving' them out.

Deanna started off as an ambitious, self-preserving character but she became more and more sloppy in her scheming. I would have liked to have scene such a tension-causing character go out with more of a bang. And am I the only person who thinks she was pretty fond of Jack, and wasn't just using him? I'm interested in seeing what she's got up her sleeve for next week when she pays a surprise visit to the ED (according to TV Week). My money says she's pregnant.

Poor Jack, though, he just can't get a break when it comes to women. I honestly thought she had genuine feelings for him, although that 'I love you' but was a bit OTT, and as soon as Erica commented that she has a habit of hooking up with people higher up on the food chain to back her, I knew they were headed into 'sceming cow who sleeps her way to the top' territory - thoroughly disappointing.

On the plus side, I like this Evie character, and think Alexandra Folwer and John Howard have great chemistry, I can't wait to see more of them together.

I give this three. Two for Wil Travel being hot, two for the great chemistry being Howard and Fowler, and I took one away for the crappy way Deanna went out.moreless
