      • Controversy: After the airing of this episode, there was a bit of controversy surrounding the storyline involving the foetus with Down's syndrome. Complaints were made that the episode incorrectly linked Down's syndrome with being associated with incest.

      • Down's syndrome - is a genetic abnormality, usually caused by cells having 47 chromosomes, instead of the usual 46. This is normally caused by Chromosome 21 having three copies instead of the usual two, although how this occurs is still unknown. The risk of having a baby with Down's syndrome increases in older mothers.

      • Haemorrhoids - it is also known as piles. It is caused by the enlargement and swelling of superficial veins situated around the anus and the rectum. Sometimes these can become itchy and painful. They may also cause bleeding.

      • Ectopic pregnancy - an ectopic pregnancy occurs when the fertilized egg implants somewhere other then in the uterus, such as in the abdomen or in the Fallopian tube. It can be very dangerous and cause problems for the mother and unborn child. Most ectopic pregnancies are aborted.
