  • Deanna gets in deeper with her web of lies as Frank suffers from a heart attack (presumably from Deanna-related stress). Good medical storylines.

This wasn\'t as bad as The Mercy Seat as far as the Frank/Deanna/Jack storyline goes, but I still wasn\'t too fussed. I stand by my review for that episode that I don\'t think Deanna would have created such a stir, knowing it would come to no good. IMHO Deanna\'s fond of Jack and I can\'t see her using him the way she\'s shown to be doing. This storyline can go nowhere but have her completely ostracised and sent from AS tarred and feathered, which I think is a shame for a character which started out as someone who could bring a lot of interesting tension to the show.

I liked the way they all rallied around Frank following his heart attack, but I didn\'t get that he and Charlotte had become such bosom buddies. I can see Charlotte being close to Vincent like that, and possibly Nelson, but not Frank.

I\'m interested in seeing what happens with this Evie character.

The twin story was interesting (loved the way Jack kind of rolled his eyes!) and the story about the wife and child touching. But I\'m really bracing myself for the next episode, because it looks like it\'s going to be the typical let's-all-badn-together-to-get-rid-of-the-cow storyline that I expect of far less calibre shows.

Favorite quote: I don\'t take orders from people who sleep with the enemy.

Ah, Jess, I\'m going to miss you.

I give it seven, because I gave TMS a six and this was marginally bettermoreless
  • Great episode, with many plot developments. The recurring tensions and anger between Frank and Deanna reach a pivotal high point, the whole cast learn the truth about Frank and Alison, and a character will make their departure from the show.moreless

    9.0
This is one of the better episodes in recent weeks for the show. In this episode, a mother and daughter are admitted into emergency after being involved in a car accident when a truck collided with their vehicle. The mother's husband, who was in the car behind, must come to terms with the fact that he may lose his wife and/or his daughter. Dr. Campion takes pity on this man and tries to support him through this difficult time. However, tensions rise between Dr. Campion and Deanna over the sexual harrassment case lodged against Frank by Deanna two weeks ago. Von, under instructions by Dr Alison Newell, steps in the middle and keeps an eye out for Frank, trying to get him to stay away from Deanna. All of this extra stress, mixed with the death of one of the women involved in the car accident, does not do anything to help Frank's blood pressure, and he isn't what you would call a small build. When forced out of his own office by Deanna, his vision becomes blurred, before he collapses, having suffered a heart attack.

Once found, the whole staff attend to him, while Jessica snaps at Deanna, blaming her for what happened to him (and rightly so). Dr. Alison Newell rushes down to emergency to see Frank, and it is her that the staff finally learn the truth, that Alison is Frank's ex-wife, and mother of his daughter. This news shocks the whole staff, but most particularly Deanna, seeing as she lodged the sexual harrassment claim to Alison, and she has now come to the realisation that she will be found out as she only invented the claim in order to get Frank's job.

Jack comforts Deanna in the garden outside the hospital, telling her not to worry, as he believes that her worry is that the staff are blaming her for Frank's heart-attack. She settles down, and the two embrace with a compassionate kiss, overlooked by Jessica, who now realises why Jack was constantly defending Deanna, and announces this fact to the whole staff.

This show was actually quite enjoyable, and one of the better episodes that I have seen in a while. As to whether or not Frank dies in this episode, you will just have to watch it and find out for yourselves. However, I would reccommend seeing this episode to the very end, because another character will be announcing their shock exit from the show.
