  • Mitch's Funeral overshadows most of this episode, although a major revealation is made reguarding Sterlo and Colin Blackburn

I really hate Colin Blackburn, and his treatment of new nurse "Sterlo" Sterling McKormack didn't improve my opinion of him. But an interesting revealation is made about Sterlo: Sterlo is Colin's nephew!. One would have thought that Colin would be nice to Sterlo, but no, Sterlo get's treated even worse than many other members of the the Ward 17 staff.

Of course, Mitch's Funeral plays a major part in the episode, with over half the episode being dedicated to the funeral. Rose is really horribe to Terri, especially after the funeral, even going so far as to remove all of Lucy's things from the house Lucy has come to reguard as her second home because without Mitch, Terri has no right to have any contact with Lucy, according to Rose. I was so mad Rose for doing that to poor Terri, who was still so very newly devastated about Mitch at the time. The rest of the ward 17 staff rallies behind and around Terri though, and the ward becomes the major figure in Terri's life, and in her slowly coming to terms with the fact that Mitch has died. Von is especially supportive of her long time friend, during what is obviously a diffcult time for her. This just made me appreciate the often acidic Von even more, especially when in comparison with the horrible behaviour of Rose. The entire ward is of course coping with the loss of a colleague, as well as on a personal level mourning the loss of a dear friend. Fortunately, ward 17 have each other, and everyone seems to be supporting, and recieveing support, from everyone else in this tearjerking episode. WHen this series comes out on DVD, a warning to eveyone: Keep the tissue boxes handy. (yes I said boxes- about 4 of them is a good estimate)moreless
