  • Could be better, but decent nonetheless.

While the premiere of "All Souls" is nothing to write home about, it's still a pretty decent start to a promising series. Dr. Mitchell Grace takes an internship at All Souls Hospital, where his father worked before he died. All Souls is a place where reality and unreality collide, and where the dead has power. The otherwordly hospital holds many dark secrets and conspiracies, some of which are seen, and others that are hinted at, in this episode.

While entertaining and a little freaky, "All Souls" reminds me a lot of FOX's "Freakylinks". Both these shows are quirky and use weird camera angles and fairly cheap sets, and the acting can be a little over the top. What would impress me more would be if the show was a little more serious, and that UPN had paid more for the pilot. There's a lot of untapped potential here, but enough to keep me entertained and wanting to see more.
