A series finale involving British Intelligence disguised as Policemen!
  • A good finale for an unusual season.

Season Five of Allo Allo is unusual because of its length: twenty-four episodes rather than the normal six or seven. Most were written by Lloyd & Croft, a few by guest writers, including one by the On The Buses team of Chesney & Wolfe. At times the heavy workload becomes quite obvious; though the plot keeps twisting and turning, the one-liners tend to get predictable, we see endless variations of the same jokes.

For this finale the writers return to form. Every character is involved and the show has a decent ending for once. You could even be forgiven for thinking that this was the final episode of the show. Priceless moments come courtesy of Gruber in drag, Helga in her underwear and the unlikely musical duo of Monsieur Alphonse and Leclerc.moreless
