      ADD TRIVIA
      • It was noted by Guy Singer that the first lines to the shows theme, London Calling, were

        "'Allo 'Allo, we meet again,
        And just as before..."

In this episode, Edith sings the lyrics of the last verse

        "We loved, we parted as fate had arranged;
Now there you stand and nothing has changed.
And so it goes, the same refrain, the final encore,
You are my love, my only love,
        Once more!"

    • QUOTES (6)

      ADD QUOTES
      • René: Gentlemen do not wear suspenders and stockings. Maria: You should see the Colonel on a good night.

      • Captain Hans Geering (To Colonel Van Strohm): Colonel, we are Germans. To have our uniforms made in London must be against the rules!

      • René: I can not tell the Germans that I'm in touch with London. They will have me shot! Edith: We could tell them Mr. Leclerc the forger is a tailor, and he is going to make them new uniforms. Michelle: René, you are married to a very clever woman. René: Well, I have always prefered brains to beauty. Edith: Unless they have big knockers!

      • Michelle: The two British airmen wearing the German uniforms have been captured. Yvette: No! Michelle: Yes! Edith: No! Michelle: Yes! Maria: No! Michelle: Yes! René: Will nobody believe this woman?

      • René: You have no idea what the feel of your firm young body does to me! Maria: Yes I have!

      • Col. Von Strom: (to René) If you do not get us the uniforms back, you will be shot! Capt. Hans Geering: Up against the wall, with guns.

    • NOTES (2)

      ADD NOTES
      • Herr Flick's Gestapo headquarters are completely soundproofed, because "the sound of the lorries" was keeping him awake at night. This suggests he sleeps there. Whilst showing Helga around his private quarters, we see a photo of a young Flick, taken when he was a member of the Hitler Youth. Helga reveals she too was a member.

      • This episode marks the first mention of the Communist Resistance - Michelle tells us they are a rival group of "ruthless killers", and that when the war is over, whoever has the strongest resistance group will control France. We get to see their leader, a girl who never appears again.
