(Crabtree points out Michelle's injuries) Crabtree: "She has stroooned her back, and has also a compost fricture of the left log. Her log is in plister of porridge."
(Michelle falls unconscious) Crabtree:"She has pissed out!"

Rene: How is the war going? Do you have the half-time score?
Rene: The rumour is that you are not dealing with just any Resistance. This is the Communist Resistance! Captain Hans Geering: The Communist Resistance? Rene: The party funds are low. They need the money to buy explosives to blow up your tanks and trains and things. Edith: It's all in a good cause.
Lieutenant Gruber: Madame Edith has an unusual voice, René. Was it trained? René: Oh yes, but it escaped and returned to the wild.
Michelle: Pay careful attention, this is the plan. The brackets have cracked and are coming away from the wall.
Robin Carr joins the series as a production manager - he would go on to co-direct the next five episodes of the series with David Croft, who would not direct an episode solo again until series 4 episode 5.
Lisa Anselmi returns to the show, last seen (uncredited) as one of Michelle's Resistance girls in episode 1.7
The Communist Resistance returns, last seen in episode 1.6, last mentioned in episode 2.3. They are still low on funds, and display a fondness for delivering messages via bricks. We also discover that Michelle's Resistance do not take cheques.
John Louis Mansi returns as Flick's (now permanent) assistant Von Smallhausen. We learn that he lives in a "small but comfortable apartment over ze bakery".
We learn that Nouvion has a General Hospital.
The opening and closing credits are shown over shots of the village square outside Cafe Rene. From this series onwards, Lynford Hall was adopted as the home of Nouvion.
