Goof: When Monsieur Alphonse tries to get the chisel from the statue, the head of the statue wobbles separately for no apparent reason. Later in the scene, however, Edith knocks the head off, which was obviously prepared for this incident.
-
Although logic is not a strong part of this show, we could wonder how the newspaper knew that the train was blown up by Christmas puddings.
-
Despite being credited, Collins and Frankau did not
appear as the British airmen during the episode.
-
The order of cast members is once again incorrect. Moira Foot and Carole Ashby appeared on screen very early in the episode but are treated as guest stars despite their regular appearances in the series.
-
Once again, the order of appearance is incorrect. Kim Hartman appeared on screen before Guy Siner, and Jacqueline Ashman
should have been credited after Kenneth Connor.
-
Patrick Edwards is credited fifth despite actually being the seventh cast
member to make an on-screen appearance.
-
Goof: A boom microphone can be seen in the 'long shot' during the bedroom scene.
-
Goof: The acid spot on the table can be seen even before the wine has been poured.
-
Richard Bonehill is the only actor not to recieve a full credit.
-
Phoebe Scholfield is credited despite not appearing during the episode.
-
Richard Gibson and John Louis Mansi are credited in the opposite order that they appear in the episode.
-
Actress Phoebe Scholfield swaps sides for this episode - she usually plays Henriette, (Michelle's assistant) but here she appears as one of the Communist girls
-
Once again, the cast list was not in order of appearance despite what the credits said. Moira Foot was the third to speak in the episode, and yet she is credited after Rose
Hill, who did not appear until well into the second half
-
The credits are once again wrong. Rose Hill is once again credited without appearing, whilst Kirsten Cooke is given second billing, when it really should be Jack Haig.
-
Goof: Von Klinkerhoffen threatens Gruber with a transfer to Vladivostok - during World War II, Vladivostok
was a major port for lend-lease supplies. Thing is, Vladivostock is on the Russian east coast, which the Germans were never even close to reaching during the whole war.
-
In the end credits, Guy Siner and Arthur Bostrom's clips are taken from different episodes.
-
Gruber's little tank has the registration number WH215736
-
Madame Fanny's bedroom looks a little different - she had a new bed, and the alcove looks more spacious.
-
Goof: When kicking open the Colonel's doors, Richard Gibson accidentally breaks one of them, causing
the set to wobble!
-
Colonel Von Strohm (asking the General if what he just saw would qualify as the sign Hitler needs to start the invasion of England): Would he regard a flying nun as a lucky omen?
General Von Klinkerhoffen: I should think he'd be off tomorrow. Why do you ask?
