- The episode title, Boys Town, is a reference to the 1938 movie which won 2 Oscars for Best Actor and Best Writing. It starred Spencer Tracy and Mickey Rooney. Tracy played Father Flanagan who worked with disadvantaged boys in a home that he founded and named "Boys Town."
