Episode Recap

Ally's coworkers and their unusual clients are the focus of this episode, when Ally leaves Boston for a bit. Liza has her first case with the firm, as staff rather than opposing counsel, with John second-chairing the case. She represents Nicole Naples, who has married two different men, with both men agreeable to the situation. Even John finds himself drawn to her. Even after potentially damaging testimony from a past roommate (Lara Flynn Boyle), Nicole manages to still have a shot. The jury later finds against her, but Nicole is given no jail time. After a night singing with John's mariachi band, Nicole asks John to dinner, but he sadly refuses, saying he could love her. In other case news, with the arrival of Liza also comes her new associate, Wilson Jade. Wilson has a case representing a spouse who is suing her ex for sexual harassment. Wilson has Nelle assist him with this case, which she initially balks at, but later appreciates, as Wilson values the hard, heartless side of Nelle. This is while dodging Claire's attempts to stare and woo him, that is. Using some plotting and tactical maneuvers, Wilson and Nelle pull off their case, with a large settlement. Nelle recommends to Richard that they keep Wilson, who has wormed his way into her graces, and seems to appreciate Nelle as well. Nelle and Liza continue to bicker, as they learn and share each other's real names, Morgan and Debbie.
