    7.5
We now found out that there are humans who are called chromes and are genetically enhanced in the womb and that Stahl is one of them.

As always this idea is only used as background for our crime of the week. That Stahl is a chrome is only mentioned, but not really build into the storyline. This would have been a great opportunity to delve further into her character ( see a similar storyline with Dr Bashir in "Deep Space Nine"). But this doesn't happen at all. Stahl is still a very underdeveloped character and the writers missed this opportunity to delve into her, what makes her different because of it, what are the moral implications of genetic enhancements, what happens to a society who has these people in it, does it create a class system based on genetics and so on.

Also I missed kind of the usual banter between Kennex and Dorian. We still haven't seen how Dorian interacts with his new roommate.

The parallel between the obsession showed by one of the mums and Kennex ( cool post it notes ), was a bit heavy handed, but I guess they finally wanted to further the plot of the attack in the pilot a bit.

And the captain has really time to spy on her underlings via CCTV? Doesn't she have one of her android policemen for that?

Kennex is still a very charismatic lead and the futuristic optics are always kind of cook.moreless

Valerie wsa pretty awesome in this episode! loved it!
  • Good, but not great

    8.5
Although not as amazingly great as any of the previous episodes, it's still good, but not great. I found myself slightly bored with the 'Chrome' storyline, the Kennex memory storyline also drew short, There was not enough funny Dorian quips and I was disappointed that the over the wall storyline was not continued, even just a snippet.
