i love heroes but it suck after season 2.

alot of fans being saying this i think its b/c alphas is so good and it seems alphas aint stopping no time soon.

i mean no one said it about no ordinary family b/c no ordinary family made heroes looks really bad.

if ppl cant see this show is like x-men not heroes than i dont know what to say.

if u dont like alphas dont watch.

and to be honest im glad heroes got cancel before it got worser than it was.i wish charmed would would have been ax after season 4 but we cant get what we want all the time.

alphas is good and nothing like heroes b/c if it was the show would been have cancel after the first ep.this show is so mcuh better than heroes.

I wouldn't call it a Heroes ripoff, especially because Heroes wasn't all that original. X-Men, anyone? Besides, I didn't think Heroes was all that good a show, not even the first season when everyone thought it was so amazing.

Not that this show is in my top 10 favorite, but Heroes was way worst. And this is hardly a ripoff. there is quite few differenss between these two shows, if this is a ripoff, then there a lot of show that is a ripoff of the old Batman and robin tv-show.

I disagree. Heroes was awesome it's first season but then it went to hell in a hand basket so quickly. I really like the fact that show works from a much more... down-to-earth angle. Not everything on the show is special effects and it seems like they pick and choose what to special effect when they have to.

Definitely disagree here. Heroes was very much a plot-driven show, while Alphas is much more of a character-driven show. This show runs much closer to the 4400 than it does Heroes (and Heroes took a lot from the 4400, so don't be slinging around the word 'ripoff'). And this show is definitely vastly superior to Heroes post-season 1. Everyone knows Heroes took a total nosedive after it's freshman season, while I think that Alphas is only getting better over time.

From the pilot on, Alphas is ten times the show Heroes ever was.

I completely agree. Alpha's has consistently developed the characters, and built upon the original storyline. Heroes was very hit and miss after the first season.

I also agree although I gave Heroes good scores for the first two season and then it took a sharp nosedive. Taking out the superpowers, which a lot of shows share like Heroes, 4400, Alphas and all of Marvel's super characters, and based only on the storyline Alphas is far superior than most.

And Heroes was a rip off of 4400

And 4400 was a rip off of Mutant X plus some other stuff

And Mutant X was a bad rip off of the X Men comics

And break down comics enough, and they're rip off's of old myths/legends

And those were rip off's of...

Face it, there's not a new idea in the sky. Just about every work of fiction can be broken down as being composed of various components. People realizing they have super powers, in a world that thinks such things are fantasy... it's been done. A lot. Even before heroes.

That being said, what's important is that they take it in another direction or put their own spin on it. Which they have: it's different enough from Heroes and the test, though it does have a lot in common with 4400 and XMen Comics. A Magneto/Collier/etc type of persona wanting mutants/promicin-positives to become dominant and replace the humans that hate them. But their take on it is nice.
